This program is designed to help your child develop coordination and motor skills while learning game fundamentals and rules. We will keep the number of players on a team lower that normal to provide more playing time. The season consists of 7 weeks of organized "practice as you play" games. Additional practices will not be offered, and scores will not be kept at this age level. The name of the game is FUN For All!

Participants are required to wear shin-guards and tennis shoes. Cleats are not allowed in the Mary Morgan gymnasium. all participants will receive a t-shirt. Volunteer coaches are needed.

Sponsored by the Byron Park District, this youth wrestling program is staffed and organized by the Byron Wrestling Association, Inc. wrestling not only increases strength, endurance, and flexibility, but promotes sportsmanship as well as individual and team accomplishments. Sessions focus on instruction of the basic skills of wrestling with emphasis on having fun while performing drills and techniques! This program will consist of 15 one-hour practice sessions and a dual wrestling meet at the conclusion of the program. Participants will be provided with Local Open Tournament information for March and April as an option on their own if they chose to partake.

This program, sponsored by the Byron Park District, is a great opportunity for your daughter to be exposed to the sport of basketball. Participants will learn some of the basic skills and fundamentals of basketball.

Tiger Sharks is a competitive age-group swim team affiliated with Illinois Swimming and United State Swimming Associations. Practices are divided into three different levels of ability and are designed to teach competitive stroke form and endurance. Swimmers are encouraged to attend as many practices during the week as possible. A minimum of three days per week is strongly recommended. Practice & swim meet calendars are available on-line or at the bpd office. Swim team updates and changes are e-mailed, so please provide an e-mail address when registering. Prerequisite: Swimmers must be at least 6 yrs old and be able to swim front & back crawl unassisted for 25 yds.

This program is designed for those wanting to go beyond the basics of wrestling, for those serious about pursuing the sport, and for those wishing to have the opportunity to compete on a weekly basis from December thru early March. Additionally, X-treme Gold participants will be required to purchase a USA Competitor Card which will allow them to compete in sanctioned tournaments. A singlet and headgear will be issued to each athlete for use during the season and must be returned upon the completion of the season as property of the X-treme Program.

No early registration will be accepted. registration Day is Saturday, March 3, 2012. registration cut off date is April 9, 2012, or until the league is full. Practices will begin in May. Coaches will notify players of practice dates. Please note that no steel spikes are allowed in any of the leagues. Most games will be played in June and July.
