Byron Park District’s Tiger Sharks Swim Team


Tiger Sharks is for all levels of ability and is designed for swimmers who are interested in developing competitive strokes and participating in competitive events. Swimmers must be 6 years or older and be able to swim one length of the pool. Calendars with exact practice dates/times along with swim meets will be given to all swimmers.

ABILITY GROUPS, PRACTICE TIMES & FEES

Blue Group: The blue group is designed for beginning competitive swimmers. Practices will focus on the four competitive strokes, starts and turns.


DAYS: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday

TIMES 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.    
       
DATES Resident Non-Resident  
Oct 6 - Dec 30 $150 $160

 White Group: This group is for those who have mastered the skills in the blue group and focuses on improving stroke technique and endurance.
 

DAYS: Monday - Friday

TIMES 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

Red Group: The red group is for the experienced competitive swimmer, age 13 and over. Swimmers in this group continue to improve technique & conditioning.
 

DAYS: Monday - Friday

WATER Mon - Fri 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.  
DRYLAND M,W,F 4:45 - 5:15 p.m.

FEE & PAYMENT INFORMATION:
• Since Tiger Sharks is a United States Swimming team, all participants are required to pay a yearly $60 USS Registration and
Insurance Fee. (Valid Sept. 08 - Dec. 09 for new swimmers; Calendar year for current swimmers).
• $10 Sibling Discount per session
• Pro-rated session fees are only available for swimmers participating in school sports. Inquire at the Park District.
• Additional fees ($10 or $15) are charged for participation in swim meets.
• All fees including session fees, meet fees and USS fees should be paid through the Byron Park District

TIGER SHARKS FUN NIGHT FOR FORMER & NEW SWIMMERS


WHEN: Tuesday Sept. 23rd, 2008 7:00 - 8:30 pm

WHERE: Byron H.S. Swimming Pool
WHAT: See how much fun the swim team can be! We will have fun relays & games for swimmers and an informational session for parents with the new coach, Amy Kurth.
