Check-in Procedures
All swimming pool patrons will need to check-in
at the PE Center Registration Office. All pool patrons will then
receive an admission pass that must be given to the lifeguard on
duty.
Locker Facilities
Public locker rooms are available for patrons of
the PE Center, pool, and racquetball courts. We do not
supply locks or towels, so make it a habit of bringing your own.
Locks should be used only during the time in which you are
utilizing the facility. The Park District is not responsible for
lost or stolen items.
Water Walking
Let your natural boyancy and resistance of the
water help you improve your joint strength, flexibility and
cardiovascular endurance. Water Walking belts are available for
patron use during lap swim times.
Pool Toys
Swim noodles, diving rings, and various balls are
available for use during all open swims.
Pool Temperature
The High School swimming pool’s water temperature
is maintained between 81 - 83 degrees. This temperature allows
for both competitive swim usage and park district activities to
be offered using the same facility.
Aquatic Facility
All Byron Park District aquatic activities are
held in the Byron High School Swimming Pool, which is a
six-lane 25 yard indoor pool equipped with a one meter diving
board. Pool depth ranges from 4 ft. to
12ft.
